Round up your bill to help a neighbor with utility bills!

You may enroll in this great program through your online My Account. Your bill will be rounded up to the next dollar each month and the funds will be used to help Easton Utilities customers in need with their electric, gas, water and internet bills.

Round up donations are nonrefundable.

  1. What is the Change for Change program?

    It is a program that allows you to “round up” your monthly utility bill to the next dollar. The spare change collected will help residential customers who are facing financial difficulties and struggling to pay their bills.

  3. How much will it cost me?

    Each month, your bill, including even dollar amounts, will be rounded up to the next dollar. Typically, this is only a few cents and will never be more than $1.00 (unless you select otherwise). On average, customers contribute about $6–$12 per year.

  5. Where does the money go?

    All Change for Change contributions go directly into a specific account at Easton Utilities, and we distribute to the customers identified by our partner, St. Vincent de Paul.

  7. Who decides how the funds are used?

    As a community nonprofit organization, St. Vincent de Paul provides food, shelter, clothing, and emergency financial help, as well as comfort to those in need in Talbot County, MD. They will determine which customers qualify for assistance using specific criteria and submit the information to Easton Utilities. Per their recommendation, Easton Utilities applies the credit to the customers’ bill.

    Yes, the Change for Change contribution will appear as a separate line item on your bill each month and your total will be an even dollar amount.

  13. Can I give more than just rounding up to the nearest dollar?

    Absolutely! You can choose to add a fixed monthly donation in addition to your contribution.

  15. Is my contribution tax deductible?

    Donations are not tax deductible as the donation is not being provided to 501(c)(3) business.

    Participation is completely voluntary. You may enroll/unenroll at any time using My Account or by speaking with a Customer Service Representative.

    Yes. If you decide you no longer wish to participate, simply log into My Account or by contacting Customer Service at 410-822-6110.

    Yes! Both residential and business customers are welcome to join the program.
