Easton Utilities is currently seeking to fill the position of Control Room Operator.
HIRING RANGE: $36.28/hr. or higher depending upon experience
JOB OBJECTIVE: Monitor and operate the electric system and power plants. Handle call center communications and dispatching for all departments outside regular business hours. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with varying work schedule including rotating weeks of overnights and weekends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have thorough knowledge of power plant operations and electric transmission and distribution systems. Knowledge of computer, SCADA, communication equipment, and gauge board operation is necessary.
- Must possess a high level of situational awareness.
- Must be a PJM Certified Assistant Operator.
- Must meet and maintain EUC and PJM training requirements.
- Accurate record keeping is essential. Must be able to access the top of engines and basements to record readings, and inspect equipment.
- Must possess a Stationary Engineer License – Fourth Grade or higher.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have successfully completed the Northwest Lineman College System Operator Certification Program or equivalent or have the ability to complete the Northwest Lineman College System Operator Certification Program within 2 years of hire date.
- Must possess current PJM Generation Operator Certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work with exposure to extreme noise, heat, and during periods of high stress.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment into and between plants.
- Must wear proper PPE at all times.

Easton Utilities is currently seeking to fill the position of Warehouse Logistics and Procurement Agent.
HIRING RANGE: $90,568/yr. or higher depending upon experience
JOB OBJECTIVE: To effectively procure essential supplies and materials at optimal prices and delivery schedules to fulfill the operational requirements of Easton Utilities business operations. To ensure the efficient management of the warehouse inventory, maintaining adequate stock levels for regular operations, maintains security and controls over stock. This position will also be responsible for supervising warehouse staff. This is a full-time, exempt position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in basic computer operations, including internet/intranet use and Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of five years of experience in procurement and inventory management or related fields.
- Minimum two years’ experience leading the work of others in a procurement, or inventory management setting.
- Minimum two years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within six months of hire.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Associate degree in business management, supply chain management or related field (may substitute professional related procurement experience in lieu of degree on a year for year basis).
MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to conduct both routine inventory purchasing and strategic procurement at a professional level. Understands that procurement is a strategic process that includes vendor selection, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Supervise and train procurement and warehouse staff to ensure efficiency and productivity in their roles.
- Oversee forklift operations of direct reports and ensure proper safety and training in forklift use.
- Conduct research on requested items, initiate supply orders, and oversee timely deliveries across all utility departments.
- Maintain close relationships with vendors and sales representatives to stay updated on new product offerings and their availability.
- Collaborate with department supervisors to understand and address specific procurement needs.
- Execute comprehensive price analysis through the solicitation of price quotations to maintain reasonable supply costs.
- Manage precise inventory records using EU accounting software, collaborating closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate inventory accounting.

Easton Utilities is currently seeking to fill the position of Easton Velocity Network Engineer.
HIRING RANGE: $75,472/yr. or higher depending upon experience
JOB OBJECTIVE: To design, deploy and manage Easton Velocity’s core, distribution and broadband networks that support current and future products and services for our customers. This is a full-time position. Level II is non-exempt, Level III is exempt from overtime.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
For placement at Easton Velocity Network Engineer II:
- Associate degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent field of study with minimum of 3 years’ of total related experience or equivalent work experience.
- Must have knowledge of network engineering including, but not limited to broadband access (DOCSIS and PON), network architectures, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc), switching, network traffic policies, optical distribution technologies, etc.
- Must possess an analytical mindset with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Must be able to follow processes, effectively communicate both verbal and written and accurately document work.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
For placement at Easton Velocity Network Engineer III:
- In addition to the requirements for Easton Velocity Network Engineer II;
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent field of study with minimum of 5 years’ of total related experience or equivalent work experience.

JOB OBJECTIVE: To assist customers in payments, understanding their bill, scheduling services, troubleshooting problems, and keeping their personal information up-to-date. To always provide the highest quality Customer Service while representing Easton Utilities. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in basic office functions including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, telephone etiquette, and cash-handling.
- Must have the ability to interact with the public in a professional, positive manner.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
