Understanding Your Water Bill
Your water bill is made up of two different charges: the Water Customer Charge and the Water Usage Charge (Water Base Rate Charge). Water bills are issued every month.
The Water Customer Charge includes the cost of infrastructure to provide service to your address and the operating costs associated with providing that service. These are fixed costs to serve each customer no matter how much water is consumed.
The Water Usage Charge (Water Base Rate Charge) is a set cost per 100 gallon rate which supports the construction, operation and maintenance of the water system.
