How long have you worked for Easton Utilities?

I have been with Easton Utilities since September 2018.

 

Describe your job history at EU.

Since being employed by Easton Utilities I have worked in the Velocity Department as a technical support representative assisting customers with various issues related to cable, internet, email, and phone working primarily in the office but occasionally in the field as well.

 

What is your favorite part of your job and working for EU?

My favorite part of my job and Easton Utilities is the relationships I have developed with my customers – we have the best customers ever. I love that everyone at EUC is a giant family and supports one another in achieving one common goal – what is best for our customers and providing the highest level of service for every customer.

 

During your service with EU, is there one key moment that stands out as significant or unique?

There have been many moments that have stood out. However, the most unique one is the first time I was able to communicate with one of our non-English speaking customers for the first time in their native language (Spanish) after finishing the Spanish course that was offered to us employees and that customer being able to receive the same level of service as the rest of our customers receive without a language barrier stopping us.

 

What EU tradition is your favorite and why?

My favorite tradition is our yearly meetings and tree planting. It is always great being able to make a positive impact on the community and helping to beautify the town and help the environment.

 

How do you feel EU positively impacts the community?

There is a lot of behind the scene work and dedication that customers don’t see that EUC employees do to ensure not only that services are in operation and that customers have an optimal level of service. From cleaning the town, to working at town events, to the long hours everyone happily puts in - everything we do is sincere since the company genuinely cares about every single customer. I have held many different positions and have never been blessed enough to be a part of an organization as sincere and as caring as EUC is for their customers.

 

Describe your life outside of work.

When I am not working I am usually at home crafting. I love to paint, embroidery, sewing, crochet, etc. I also love playing different types of video games. I also love to travel. In the past year I have been to the Bahamas and Caribbean twice. Besides that I have traveled to Canada, Germany, Mexico, Bermuda, the whole East Coast USA and have been on a total of 6 cruises.

 

Describe the members of your family and any pets.

I am originally from Baltimore, MD where my parents, brother, and grandmother live. They also have my two dachshunds who are twins and the sweetest two puppies. I live with my boyfriend and our cats.

 

What plans do you have for the future?

In the future I strive to grow with EUC and build up my skill set and knowledge base to earn a position doing IT-related work. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Maryland in Information Systems Management. My goal is to pursue necessary certificates to build up my knowledge base from my coursework as well as my previous experience from my career thus far.

I love helping my customers and will always continue to have my continued enthusiasm and perkiness that everyone knows me for and enjoy every day that I am a part of this wonderful community.
