Maria Pack

Collections and Energy Assistance Specialist

How long have you worked for Easton Utilities?

I have worked 12 years with EU.

Describe your job history at EU.

I started at the front counter processing service orders, receiving payments for both residential and commercial accounts. My duties also included ensuring quality customer service with EU customers as well as internal departments. From there I moved to Collections, which is where I am currently.

What is your favorite part of your job and working for EU?

Customer Service is the favorite part of my job. I love when a customer calls in with little expectation of having their issue resolved and hearing the change in their voice when we come to a mutually gratifying resolution.

During your service with EU, is there one key moment that stands out as significant or unique?

Not a moment, but a constant. Prior to EU I worked in corporate settings that stated ‘family first’. EU is the only company that embodies this every day.

What EU tradition is your favorite and why?

Although not a tradition, EU’s Centennial in 2014 offered a carnival on campus. Our EU family and customers celebrated in grand style. It’s definitely my favorite memory.

How do you feel EU positively impacts the community?

I feel that the community is EU‘s extended family. EU serves the community through its technical support and charitable donations.

Describe your life outside of work.

My job requires that I be an extrovert but in reality I am introvert. I love plays, literature, solitary walks, time spent with my husband as we spoil our grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.

Describe the members of your family and any pets.

My husband, Corey and I live alone and we love it!

What plans do you have for the future?

I would love to evolve with EU. I see change coming and I embrace it.
