Tori Brummell
Customer Service Representative
How long have you worked for Easton Utilities?
I have been an employee for 16 years.
Describe your job history at EU.
My title is customer service representative. Serving our customers has been a rewarding experience.
What is your favorite part of your job and working for EU?
Working with my customers, solving issue and letting them know that we care. My EU family is also one of my greatest rewards.
During your service with EU, is there one key moment that stands out as significant or unique?
The most memorable moment for me is when I went into cardiac arrest and my EU family came to my rescue. This was a day I will never forget. As a result of the wellness events that EU offers and the employees being educated on different events helped to save my life. I believe had it not been for my co-workers and the wellness events I would not be here today.
What EU tradition is your favorite and why?
I would choose what we call in the CSR area file day. That’s when the employees come together experiencing each other’s cooking and fellowship.
How do you feel EU positively impacts the community?
EU has a great impact in the community with excellent service and involvement we have in the community partnering with different businesses to make the community great.
Describe your life outside of work.
I was the founder and director of The Mid-Shore Fresh Start which was the first transitional house for recovering addicts in Easton MD. I also minister and have participated in public speaking, as well as being a member of many organizations. I also love sports and church.
Describe the members of your family and any pets.
My family is a great support system for me. I also have my dog Boomer who loves me unconditionally.
What plans do you have for the future?
My future plans are to register for school after nearly 35 years of being out, taking up communications & marketing. In spite of it feeling challenging I am determined to enhance my knowledge and get to the next level in my life.
Anything else interesting you’d like to share?
I have a great appreciation for EU for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful family, but moreover I think about so many people that have lost jobs due to this pandemic and EU have made a way that we keep our jobs and for that I am thankful.
