Megan Jackson

Collections Assistant

How long have you been with Easton Utilities?

June of this year marked 2 years since I started at Easton Utilities.

Describe your job history at EU.

I began my career at Easton Utilities in the Customer Service department, where I developed strong communication and problem-solving skills. In July 2025, I transitioned into the Collections department as a Collections Assistant. In this role, I’ve been able to engage with customers on a more personal level, providing tailored support and helping them navigate financial challenges with empathy and efficiency.

What is your favorite part about working at EU?

One of my favorite things about working at Easton Utilities is the strong sense of belonging. It truly feels like one big family. The support and encouragement shared among team members is constant and genuine, creating an environment where everyone is willing to help one another succeed. Most importantly, I’m especially grateful to my Customer Service and Collections team. The bond we share goes far beyond just being coworkers. We’re a close-knit group that lifts each other up every day.

Is there one key moment that stands out as significant or unique during your career at EU?

A moment that stands out to me is when I made the decision to transfer to the Collections department. I’ve never been one to embrace change easily, so taking that leap of faith was a big step outside my comfort zone. But I’m so glad I did. This new role has challenged me in the best ways and allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I’ve learned so much already, and the experience has shown me the value of stepping into the unknown.

What is your favorite EU tradition?

My favorite tradition is the holiday luncheon. Between good laughs, food and Christmas spirit. It’s a great time for everyone to come together.

How do you feel EU positively impacts the community?

Having worked in both Customer Service and Collections at Easton Utilities, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply committed the company is to be supporting its customers. In Collections, our goal is always to keep customers connected. Whether it’s setting up payment arrangements or guiding them toward helpful community resources and assistance programs, we do everything we can to provide compassionate, personalized support. As a company, we also work hard to offer the most competitive and affordable rates possible, because we truly care about the people we serve.

Describe your life outside of work.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s kayaking, camping, or taking my kids on little adventures. Family and friends are a big part of my life, and I cherish the moments we share together. My husband and I are always working on a new project around the house we bought nearly three years ago, which keeps things fun and rewarding. I’m also currently pursuing my Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, continuing to grow both personally and professionally.

Tell us a little bit about your family.

I’m happily married to my husband, Jermey, of six wonderful years. He works as a lineman with Rock Creek, and we’re proud parents to two amazing kids— Paisley, our sassy little spark, and Dawson, our adventurous daredevil. Our home is also shared with our dog, Strudel, and our cat, Bella, who both add their own charm to our busy lives. I come from a small but close-knit family, with one sister and two brothers. My niece, Harper Lynn, holds a special place in my heart—she’s like a third child to me and loves having sleepovers at our house.

What plans do you have for the future?

I’m committed to continuing my education to support my professional growth at Easton Utilities. While I may not have a specific career path mapped out just yet, I’m confident that this is where I want to build my future. The supportive environment and strong sense of community here make it the place I want to grow, learn, and contribute for years to come.
