JOB OBJECTIVE: Provide Easton Utilities gas customers with dependable and consistent quality service through the construction and maintenance of Easton Utilities natural gas distribution pipeline system, regulators and customer service lines. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with on-call requirements.

Assistant Control Room Operator

JOB OBJECTIVE: To learn the duties of the Control Room Operator and assist the Control Room Operator in their duties. Those duties include to monitor and operate the electric system and power plants. Handle communications and dispatching for all departments outside regular business hours. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with varying work schedule including rotating weeks of overnights and weekends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess the aptitude and attitude to safely learn power plant operations, electric transmission system, distribution system, computer operation, SCADA, communication equipment, and gauge boards.
- Must possess a high level of situational awareness.
- Must meet and maintain EUC and PJM training requirements.

Instrument & Controls Technician

JOB OBJECTIVE: Design, install, program, and test new electrical utility installations. Support and maintain electrical equipment at power plants, substations, other Easton Utilities departments, and the Town of Easton. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with on-call requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to write specifications for electrical purchases and assist in the repair of electrical facilities when needed.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of safe tree-trimming and vegetation-management practices, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and reliability. Tree Trimmer Crew Lead
PAY RATE: $28.27 per hour or higher depending upon experience
JOB OBJECTIVE: Trim trees so they will not interfere with the electric lines. Remove trees and brush from electric right-of-ways. Work with the Superintendent of Electric Distribution to ensure proper training and development of the assistant tree trimmer. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have Maryland Roadside Tree Certification and Maryland Herbicide Certification.
- Minimum five years in the tree trimmer capacity.
- Demonstrate ability to train and lead crew.
- Must know how to operate derrick and bucket trucks, chippers and associated tools.
- Must have a valid MD Class A CDL.
- Occasional after hours call in for post storm restoration.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Trim trees close to energized high voltage primary and low voltage secondary power lines.
- Work requires functioning as a lead worker performing essentially the same work as those directed and includes overseeing work quality, training, and instruction.
- Clearing, inspection and maintaining right-of-ways and easements by means of trimming, chipping, clear cutting, spraying, and bush hogging.
- Apply herbicide on right-of-ways and easements and all other facilities where it is determined that such herbicide application is cost effective and preferable over mechanical cutting and trimming.
- Responsible for recording Tree Maintenance activity for State Agencies.
- Exercise proper maintenance and care of all equipment used in the performance of the duties herein described. Such equipment may include, but not limited to, aerial lift trucks, chippers, chain saws, weed eaters, pump sprayers, bush hogs, etc.
- Conduct job briefings daily.
- Performs tree removal and trimming at the request of, and in conjunction with, the Town of Easton.

- Makes repairs to customers’ properties damaged by EU crews and equipment during construction, operations, and maintenance. Such repairs might include, but not limited to, filling and smoothing ruts, sowing grass, spreading straw, repairing fences, etc.
- Explain tree trimming activities to customers when working on consumers' property. Respond to customer inquiries or complaints resolving issues tactfully and expeditiously within the policies and procedures of Easton Utilities.
- Frequent contacts with general public, patrons, or other outside representatives, wherein the manner of handling these contacts has a bearing on the organization's position and operation.
- Respond to customer’s tree trimming inquiries to resolve issues tactfully and expeditiously within the policies and procedures of Easton Utilities.
- Must have at least ten (10) years’ experience.
- Ability to perform duties with a minimum of supervision.

JOB OBJECTIVE: Plan, coordinate, and manage facility infrastructure, maintenance operations, and capital improvement projects to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all company facilities. This role is responsible for overseeing building systems, managing maintenance programs, supporting engineering initiatives, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This is a full-time, exempt position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities engineering, maintenance management, or project management.
