Easton Utilities is proud to announce that Joel Adams, Supervisor of IT Customer Experience and Phillip Peerman, IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Manager recently completed the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Citizens Academy, a prestigious 8-week program hosted by the FBI Baltimore Field Office.
The FBI Citizens Academy is designed to provide business, civic, and community leaders with an inside look at the operations of the FBI and the critical role law enforcement plays in protecting communities. Participants engage in weekly sessions covering topics such as cybercrime, counterterrorism, intelligence gathering, crisis response, firearms training, and investigative procedures.
Through this immersive experience, Adams and Peerman gained valuable insight into the challenges facing federal law enforcement agencies and the importance of collaboration between public safety organizations and community partners.
“We are proud of Joel and Phillip for their commitment to professional growth and community engagement,” said Fred Christie, CIO of Easton Utilities. “Their participation in the FBI Citizens Academy reflects Easton Utilities’ dedication to leadership, public service, and strengthening partnerships that benefit our community.”
The FBI Citizens Academy is highly selective and brings together leaders from across the region who are committed to making a positive impact within their organizations and communities. Graduates of the program become part of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Organization which will be visiting the FBI Quantico facilities in the fall.
By completing the academy, Adams and Peerman join a network of community leaders dedicated to promoting safety, collaboration, and civic engagement throughout the region.
